How SenseWorks handles personal data collected through this website.

Who we are
SenseWorks Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16910386, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. What we collect, and why
This is a marketing website. We collect only what the site needs to function, to tell us it is being read, and to answer people who contact us. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
When you use the contact form
We collect your first and last name, email address, organisation, enquiry type (investor, press or partner) and your message. This is sent to us by email so that we can reply. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): responding to someone who has deliberately contacted us. You are not obliged to use the form, and you can email us directly instead.
When you accept analytics cookies
If — and only if — you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that let us count visitors and see which pages are read. This tells us whether the site is working, in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individuals. Our lawful basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. If you reject, the tag runs in a cookieless mode that records no identifier.
When you first arrive
On the first page view of each browser session, the site posts a short notice to our internal Slack channel so we know someone is reading. It contains your IP address, the approximate city, region and country derived from it, your device and browser type, your browser language, the page you landed on and the referring site. It does not contain your name or any identifier you have given us, and it is not linked to analytics. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in knowing that our own site is being visited.
Note: this notice is currently sent regardless of your cookie choice, because it does not use cookies or browser storage to identify you. An IP address is nonetheless personal data, and you may object to this processing at any time using the contact address above.
Hosting and logs
The site is served as static files from Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront) in the US East (N. Virginia) us-east-1 region. AWS records standard request logs, which may include IP addresses, as part of operating and securing the service.

Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer.
Who else sees your data
We use a small number of established providers, each acting for a specific purpose. We do not share your data with anyone else, and none of these providers sells it.
- Amazon Web Services — website hosting and delivery, and the email that carries your contact enquiry to us (Amazon SES).
- Google — Google Analytics 4, used only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Slack — receives the internal first-visit notice described above.
- Google Workspace — our company email, where contact enquiries arrive and are stored.
International transfers
Our research and development team is in Brazil, so staff there may access contact enquiries and the internal visit notices. Our providers are US-headquartered and may process data outside the UK. Transfers to our providers rely on the safeguards in their data processing terms, which incorporate the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We are reviewing the arrangements covering access by our team in Brazil, and will update this section once that review concludes.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries: kept in our company email for 24 months after our last correspondence with you, then deleted.
- Internal visit notices in Slack: kept for 12 months, per our workspace retention settings.
- Google Analytics: user- and event-level data is retained for 14 months; aggregate reporting is kept indefinitely. Cookie lifetimes are in the table above.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your personal data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have your data erased; to restrict or object to processing (including the first-visit notice and any processing based on legitimate interests); to receive your data in a portable form; and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, contact privacy@senseworks.ai. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first, so we can put it right.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date above. If the change is significant, we will make that clear rather than relying on you to notice.
